<code>Yakuake</code> is a terminal emulator that will slide down your screen when you press a shortcut key. It allows very fast access to your shell from any program.

It is similar to other programs like Guake and Tilda.

== Install ==

== Change Shortcut ==
The default shortcut to open <code>Yakuake</code> is <code>F12</code>. This conflicts with the default shortcut to open developer tools in browsers. I personally use <code>F1</code> as the key is easy to reach and its default functionality is useless to me.

To change this, open application <code>System Settings</code>, open section <code>Shortcuts</code>, and choose <code>Global Shortcuts</code>. In that screen, select <code>Yakuake</code> as component and click on the shortcut to change it.
