When you scroll very fast in some applications, Windows will start to do repeated annoying beeps.

These beeps are produced by the Beep service. Here is how to disable this behaviour.

Stopping beeps

> net stop beep
The Beep service is stopping....
The Beep service was stopped successfully.
> sc config beep start= disabled
[SC] ChangeServiceConfig SUCCESS

Restore Defaults

> net start beep
The Beep service is starting.
The Beep service was started successfully.
> sc config beep start= disabled
[SC] ChangeServiceConfig SUCCESS
